Imitation of Life (and How to Get Real)
'Almost all absurdity of conduct arises from the imitation of
those whom we cannot resemble,' wrote Samuel Johnson. I would
amend this to: 'Almost all human misery and wasted living comes
from the imitation of those whom we cannot resemble.'
